The Burnhams Surgery

The Burnhams Surgery

Welcome to The Burnhams Surgery

Situated in the picturesque village of Burnham Market on the Norfolk coast, it is renowned for its Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ‘AONB’. The surgery is approximately 22 miles from Kings Lynn and 37 miles from Norwich.

The Burnham Surgery is a dispensing practice, supported by two male GP Partners and two female GP Partners. Complementing the GPs are four Practice Nurses, one Healthcare Assistant and several administrative support staff.

The Surgery is readily accessible by public transport. There are parking facilities for patients using the surgery, including parking for the disabled.

For instant access to information about the surgery you will find our webpage covers a variety of health information along with links to other relevant organisations.

To register with us, please speak to one of the receptionists.   They will be happy to explain the registration process and answer any questions, and discuss any preference of practitioner you may have.

Serving you

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues.  The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your own home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.

Registered patients that do not have their own method of transport and are unable to use public transport may benefit from contacting the Burnham Market Area Community Car Scheme to assist them with gaining access to routine medical treatment either at the Surgery or Hospital. Further details of this service can be found in ‘Our Services’.

For patients that are unable to collect their repeat medication due to health and transport problems we do offer a voluntary medication drop off service at approved designated points within the local area to assist with patient needs. Further details of this service can be found in ‘Our Services’.

Partners in care

Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership extends even further and our active patient participation group exists to make sure that patient needs and that the practice is always heading in the same direction.
