General Practice Training
The surgery is approved by the East of England Postgraduate Deanery to train general practitioners. Dr Ince is the approved trainer and our GP Registrars work under his and the other GPs direct supervision.
All our registrars are qualified doctors often with a large amount of experience both in hospital and GP settings who are completing their final postgraduate training in general practice before being licenced to practice independently.
Our current registrar is Dr Sakir Ahmed who will be with us from December 2015 until June 2016.
Administration
The team is led by our Practice Manager, Mrs Tania Goodliffe, who is assisted by her PA/Medical Secretary Philippa Arnold and Ronny Paine as Medical Secretary.
The Practice Administration Team is involved in all aspects of keeping the Practice running smoothly, dealing with its financial affairs, looking after the Partners’ administration needs and helping patients with all non-medical aspects of their care. You can contact, through Reception, members of the Administration Team for matters to do with business, the administration, or any problem you may encounter at the Surgery. There is a complaints procedure in place upon which the Team will give advice. A request to view your Patient Record should also be made through this Office.
The Team also liaises with the Clinical Commissioning Group, Hospital Consultants, Social Services, Local Councils and Insurance Companies on behalf of the Practice, the Doctors and the Patients.
Reception
The Reception Team are available during opening hours and initially deal with all appointments and enquiries whether by ‘phone or letter before referring to the appropriate medical professional or member of the administrative staff. They receive and collate all hospital tests and keep record systems up-to-date. You can, if you wish, ask Reception for results of any test you might have had before seeing your Doctor. They can also explain to you the systems of care/treatment in place at the Surgery and they keep you informed of your regular appointments (if any) at the clinics. Our Team, led by Receptionist Manager Sharon Wagg are dedicated professionals who receive training in their chosen field.
