Prescriptions<\/h4>[vc_column_text]The Surgery offers a dispensing service during opening hours to patients living more than a mile from the chemist in Burnham Market and who wish us to do so. Dispensary is closed between the hours 1pm- 2pm<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-info-circle” add_icon=”true” title=”Repeat Prescriptions” tab_id=”repeat-prescriptions”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner]

Repeat Prescriptions<\/h4>[vc_column_text]If you are on regular medication you will be issued with a repeat prescription slip. You should use this slip to order your next supply by taking it to the Surgery or leaving it at your nearest village collection point . A message can be left on the Dispensary’s dedicated prescription line 01328 737002<\/strong>. You can also fax your prescription request on 01328 730104<\/strong>. If you send a stamped addressed envelope, we will send your paper prescription to you.<\/p>\n

Non-dispensing prescriptions take one full working day and please collect<\/strong> after 2pm<\/strong>. Dispensing prescriptions take two full working days, again please collect after 2pm<\/strong>. Please allow three full working days if sending to one of the village collection points. (see below).<\/p>\n

On your Repeat Prescription Form you can arrange to collect your medicines direct from the Dispensary at the Surgery or you can have them delivered to your nearest delivery point where they can be collected at your convenience. There are collection points at Deepdale Post office, Thornham – The Drove, North Creake – Village hall and Docking Mini-Supermarket where you can also leave your prescription for collection. This is a delivery and collection service manned entirely by volunteers.<\/p>\n

The Dispensary is open 8.30am to 1pm<\/strong> then 2pm to 6.30p<\/strong>m Monday to Friday.<\/p>\n

On the Repeat Prescription Form is a date for your Medication Review. NHS Prescription Charges<\/h4>[vc_column_text]You will be expected to pay for each item dispensed when you receive it, and at the rate prevailing at the time, or against a pre-payment certificate. The Government, not the Practice, sets the charges.<\/p>\n

NHS Prescription Charge is \u00a38.20 for each medicine or appliance*<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prescriptions are free for a patient who is:<\/strong><\/p>\n

under 16
\naged 16, 17 or 18 and in full-time education
\n60 years of age or over
\nnamed on a current HC2 charges certificate
\nnamed on a Working Tax Credit NHS Exemption Certificate
\nnamed on a Child Tax Credit NHS Exemption Certificate<\/p>\n

Prescriptions are free for a patient who has:
\n<\/strong>
\na current maternity exemption certificate
\na current medical exemption certificate
\na current prescription prepayment certificate**
\na war pension exemption certificate
\na Tax Credit Exemption Certificate
\nbeen prescribed free-of-charge contraceptives<\/p>\n

Prescriptions are free for a patient who receives:
\n<\/strong>
\nIncome Support
\nIncome-based Job-seeker’s Allowance
\nMinimum Income Guarantee and Pension Credit guarantee credit<\/p>\n

** A Current Prescription Prepayment Certificate<\/strong> costs \u00a329.10 for 3 months and \u00a3104 for 12 months. Ask for a Form FP95. It is possible to pay by direct debit. Please enquire with dispensary.<\/p>\n

* Appliance:<\/strong> Some items have more than one charge. Ask your dispenser to explain. Compression hosiery is charged at \u00a314.80 for a pair of anklets, kneecaps or stockings. Single items are charged at \u00a38.05<\/p>\n

The Prescription Charge is a contribution to the NHS.
